Etsy Item of the Day

I want to start featuring other artists on Etsy, and I wanted to promote Canadians, but I also have so many items in my favourites that I want to talk a bit about... So I decided to take the easy way out for today, and choose one of my favourite favourites.
I stumbled across these egg candles a while back, and I can't get over how cute and original they are! They're made by Lisa Jordan at lilfishstudios, who's from Minnesota. She uses quite a bit of recycled material and draws much inspiration from nature, so these are great gifts for the green people in your life! These candles are actually made in real egg shells and come with pretty wooden egg holders. She has a bunch of different styles, and they're all very classy.

There's more unique and amazing items in Lisa's shop, so browse around! You'll come across these one of a kind, wonderfully creative nest pins: Each nest is perched on a small branch, and there's a pin on the back so you can wear it (I love her idea of pinning it on a purse) or pin it onto a gift. You can also request it without a pin, making a beautiful home decoration ~ and could easily be turned into a magnet.

Lisa also has a blog at lilfishstudios.blogspot.com ~ I recommend you check that and her shop out!!

I have been a friend of Lisa's for about 15 years and am so glad to see she is finally living her dream of sharing her hand-made delights with the world. I can personally attest to the fact that she takes care and pride in all of her creations. She is a wonderful artist and I am continually amazed at all the different types of crafts she comes up with--definitly not a one-note talent!
