Such a fun challenge! Thanks Janel!

I've gone ahead & made myself another little notebook to challenge myself in a similar manner for July. I've made up a list of potential prompts & tonight I'll write them out in order on the first page of the book. Looking forward to it!

Item of the day: Red Leather Bangle

Tomorrow is July 1 - Canada Day up here in the North! To celebrate, I thought these fabulous red leather bangles by amyfine would be appropriate.
Wait! July?! What happened to June??? Am I the only one who feels like this year is flying by unnoticed?

Wordless Wednesday

Some notebooks I've made recently. These ones use recycled paper for the pages.
And a custom coptic-bound watercolour-paper notebook with fabric covers, made especially for a friend:

Item of the day: 1950's Summer Dress

Cute summer dresses are essential in the warmer months & it seems to me like some of the vintage styles are much more flattering than anything more "trendy" or current. I especially love the subtle yellow of this Anne Fogarty picnic dress by crushvintage.

Mosaic Monday

It's Mosaic Monday! I hope you'll join us - it's really easy! Just make a photo mosaic - you can use whatever photo editing software you like, or a website such as the mosaic maker & photos from Flickr - & then post it on your blog. Go ahead & pick a theme if you want, but don't feel like you have to. Have fun with it!

Make sure to include a link back to my blog so that everyone can participate. Then come back here & submit a link to your blog post (using the "add your link" button at the bottom). I'll be looking at & commenting on each one!

Here's mine for this week: heat.

Here's the list of mosaics for this week. Once you've blogged, click the button below to add your blog post link.

Item of the day: Northern Flicker

Ooooh.... I really want to add this gorgeous print by MaiAutumn to my collection (aka my bird wall).

Item of the day: Hand Painted Pitcher

I've been browsing pitcher on Etsy lately - their varied shapes, sizes & versatility make me want to start another kitchen collection (to go along with my teapots & salt & pepper shakers)... I'd start off with one of these hand-painted glass pitchers by ColoredGlassByOlia. I love both this cute little pink one:
And the lovely red berry pattern on this one:
Which is your favourite ColoredGlassByOlia piece?

How cute would these mason jar solar lights by usedandabused be at a summer wedding? Or the cottage? Or on a sultry city balcony? The possibilities are endless!

My Creative Space

If you were expecting to have another look in my sketchbook this week, well... you'd be right. Surprise! Hehe!

But first, to switch things up a bit, I'm going to show you my list for the 52 Lists in 52 Weeks challenge.
Week 3: things I learned from my dad, in honour of father's day. When I first saw this, I was a bit stumped. What have I learned from my dad?
But once I sat down & started my list, some obvious memories replayed in my mind & I was finished in no time.
It was fun to actually sit down & think about this - I'm going to have to do a similar list for things I've learned from my mom.

And now, my sketchbook, exactly where I left off. Last week, many of the designs were from Zentangle but these doodles are all my own:
I love those eyeglasses! I didn't start out intending to make glasses, but the first few shapes I drew were just asking for it!

This next spread is unfinished but shows that Pat & I spend a lot at the grocery store... so far I haven't spent anything else all week though, so there's that...
Besides that, I've been working on Run With Scissors' 30-Day Sketchbook Challenge. You can check it out on my Flickr photostream... I'll blog about it soon(ish). Promise.

Head on over to the Our Creatives Spaces blog for more inspiration!

Item of the day: Roundy Coloured Rays

I want to hang this sunny print by laurageorge in my bedroom so that I can see it every morning first thing when I wake up. I can't help but smile every time I see it!
