Wedding Wear

My most observant readers will have noticed that I was wearing this dress in my photos from Tuesday (with my vintage shawl):
The "blue" stripe is actually a bit more on the turquoise side - apologies for the bad lighting and blurry shots!

This is the new dress I found to wear to the wedding we're attending this weekend. After trying on roughly three dozen dresses (give or take), I settled on the first one I saw (isn't that always the case?). It was the first one that really made me smile when putting it on - and the most comfortable of all the dresses I donned. Pat preferred the tighter dresses, and I almost chose a gorgeous floral instead, but in the end, this one is the one that felt right (though I wish I could have also gotten the floral one for everyday / work...).

When I first tried on this dress at Sears, I didn't have a belt with me but I definitely think it needed one. Luckily, I found this one at Sears too - I think it's the perfect shape. Now I just need to settle on jewelry!

Details:

  • dress: Sears
  • belt: Sears
  • heels: Guess

You tried on 36 dresses? Gah! I hate trying on clothes. One reason I don't like being invited to weddings. I understand that some people love it. That's OK.

Very cute! I wouldnt have the patience to try on 3 dozen dresses LOL...if the first 5 or so didn't work, then I'd just give up for the day. Your dress makes me think of Alice in Wonderland....maybe you can use it to incorporate into a halloween costume too?

There are some interesting points on this article however I don’t know if I see all of them heart to heart. There’s some validity however I will take hold an opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more!
