Inspiration: Janet Towbin

I can't remember where I came across the work of Janet Towbin - through one of the many blogs I read I'm sure - but I was immediately drawn in. I think my love of Klimt & geometric patterns makes it clear why.
A page filled with a repeated shape is somehow soothing. Especially when they are reminiscent of nature, like the "pile of wood" above.I love Janet Towbin's abstract paintings too. The dark muted shades lend a hint of mystery & a thrill of tension to each piece. Her experimentations with graffiti are edgy & urban.

Who are you most inspired by? Why?

Lovely! Her Meditation On Black stone II is awesome!!

What am I inspired by? WOW, that is tough to answer - there are so many things. However, if I had to narrow it down I would say my 2 boys! They make sure I have fun - yet keep me grounded! They make me laugh, cry and scream! They also make it possible for me to see things in ways I may not have thought of!
