I can't remember where I came across the work of Janet Towbin - through one of the many blogs I read I'm sure - but I was immediately drawn in. I think my love of Klimt & geometric patterns makes it clear why.A page filled with a repeated shape is somehow soothing. Especially when they are reminiscent of nature, like the "pile of wood" above.I love Janet Towbin's abstract paintings too. The dark muted shades lend a hint of mystery & a thrill of tension to each piece. Her experimentations with graffiti are edgy & urban.
