Recipe: Toffee Crunch Blondies

This recipe is very similar to the cookie one I posted last week - and just as tasty! Here's the recipe:
From a bag of these:
I'm sure similar toffee chips would work just as well.

Toffee Crunch Blondies

Ingredients:

1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 (200g) bag of toffee bits
1 cup of chocolate chips (optional)

Methods:

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 13"x9" pan. I used a slightly smaller one, 11"x8" & it fit perfectly.

2. Beat the butter, brown sugar and eggs until smooth.
Make sure you pack the brown sugar.
3. Add in the flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt.
Mix well.
4. Fold in 1 cup of toffee bits - reserve the rest of the bag for later. You could add in 1 cup of chocolate chips now too. I've done it before & it's delicious, but very sweet (and it's extremely sweet as it is).
5. Press the dough into your pan.Bake for 23-28 minutes. I went for 25 and it came out perfect.6. Sprinkle the rest of the toffee bits on top. Let cool before cutting into squares - small squares since it's so sweet (but oh so good)!Enjoy!
