Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! How are you celebrating?

Me: I'm going to a lecture on campus for 6pm... haha! Very romantic, I know. Poor Pat. But it's a yearly pharmacology lecture organized by my undergrad program (which was started in my year) & this year a really big name in the field is coming (Terry Kenakin, for those interested). I'm bringing my Pharmacology Primer (authored by Kenakin) to see if he'll sign it (or rather, to see if anyone else thought to get his signature too - I don't want to be the only one!).
Anyway, poor Pat is going to be coming home to an empty apartment, so I wanted to have a few things ready for him to let him know that I do appreciate him. A lot. We don't make a big deal out of Valentine's day, but it's still a nice excuse to shower each other with love. So, for starters, I filled his card with homemade heart-shaped confetti, each with a little love note:
I'm also making my signature mac'n'cheese this afternoon so that he'll have something to eat for supper. With any luck, I'll be home in time to share a bowl with him. Besides that, I think I'll run down the street & get him some of the flavoured coffee he really likes - he's almost out.

As for my Valentine's gifts, I'm spoiled & already got them. Friday night Pat came home with a bottle of wine for me (we celebrated with it Saturday) & then on Sunday we picked up some pretty flowers at the grocery store:
I love Gerber daisies & these orange ones are gorgeous! They definitely satisfy my recent orange obsession! He'll also come pick me up after the lecture, which is probably the best gift of all!

Well, I know he doesn't usually read my blog, but I wanted to shout it out anyway: I love you Pat!

And you know what else? I love you guys, my faithful readers (particularly my mom)! Thanks for sticking with me!

I hope everyone has a love-filled day!

Great stuff here. The information and the detail were just perfect. I think that your perspective is deep, its just well thought out and really fantastic to see someone who knows how to put these thoughts down so well. Great job on this.
