Home Decor: Spring Glassware

I updated my glassware display for spring.Mostly that meant changing out the flowers & rearranging a bit... but can you spot the new addition? If you guessed "that milk bottle" you'd be right!I snagged this gorgeous vintage milk bottle from my grandfather's house after the funeral (don't worry! I didn't steal it - I asked!). It isn't particularly significant & I have no memories linked to it, but my mom pointed it out in the dusty basement & I just had to have it. It'll remain a sweet reminder of my grandparents. The label on the bottle says "Georgian Bay Creamery Limited" but I'm not sure about its rarity or value. It doesn't really matter of course, I'll be keeping this memento as part of my home decor for years to come.

Very cool milk bottle. And I love the cruet, too.

Hi, Amanda! I think you can put a flower (perhaps a Tulip) in the milk bottle! I would do the same if only I have a milk bottle, as vintage as that. But maybe not for now, because the only vacant corner I have is in front of our exhaust fan - and it's too dirty, I won't bother to look at it anymore. I'll get it cleaned before I design the corner, so I can appreciate the beauty of it! Great ideas you have, thanks! -- Steph Asher

What a brilliant idea! These bottles give life to the furniture and the whole house itself! If I could collect these too, I would put them in the part where the lights meet. I could just imagine the illuminating effect. Thanks for posting!
